GBA

Dear NGBA Members

As your voice on the board of directors of the Georgian Bay Association (GBA) I am writing to assure you the NGBA has the full support and backing of the GBA.

Bob Duncanson; Executive Director, John McMullen; President and the executive committee have been working behind the scenes since the land claim was brought to the attention of the GBA through Richard Aniol (MAA Senior Negotiator) in June.

As your rep I have been keep abreast of all GBA efforts regarding this land claim. After speaking by phone this afternoon with Bob Duncanson I was told legal council is being pursued for advice and guidance.

Be assured the money the NGBA remits to the GBA through your membership fees is being put to good use, especially now, during this time of crisis.

I encourage you to be respectful of our First Nations neighbours. Our issue is with the Province conveying wilderness Crown land used by thousands of Ontario residents and visitors – not just the very small percentage of private land owners contacted by the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs.
I urge you to attend as many of the open house sessions as possible (numbers count), hand out the flyers, use social media to inform the public and send your objection letters now!

Respectfully,
Freda Klassen
