On Sunday, July 31 members gathered for our first in-person Annual Members Meeting (AMM) since 2019 in the brand new “Ice House” at the Sportsman’s Inn along Killarney’s historic channel. Board members, led by President, Rob Nairn, provided updates on association business, the Wiikwemkoong land claim, and Killarney news. Freda Klassen, our Georgian Bay Association (GBA) representative, described initiatives relevant to our area. Harvey and Lorna Mierke were awarded Honorary Life Membership for their lifetime commitment to NGBA and GBA. A lovely reception followed the meeting. All current members will receive a copy of the AMM minutes in an upcoming communication.
